What is the GRE?
GRE or Graduate Record Examination is a standardised test conducted by ETS (Educational Testing Service) across many countries for candidates aspiring to apply for post-graduate programs and doctoral programs in the US. Generally used by universities in the US, GRE is also accepted at top universities in UK and in other countries, for benchmarking student applications. Considering that the universities receive applications from students across the globe with varied educational experiences and grading methodologies, a GRE score is used as a common yardstick to evaluate these applications. Hence, it is necessary to achieve the best GRE score possible. GRE has 3 main parts - Quantitative reasoning (2 sections), Verbal reasoning (2 sections) and Analytical Writing Assessment (1 essay)

GRE Prep FAQs
After the GRE exam, you will see your scores. You will be given the option to cancel the score. Cancelled scores will not appear on your score report.
Universities will not know that you had cancelled a score earlier.
Reinstatement
Cancelled scores can be reinstated within 60 days by paying a fee of USD 50. If you take the GRE and don’t get a good score, you can cancel the score and retake the exam after 21 days. If this second score is lower than the previous one that you had cancelled, you can reinstate the previous one.
